For years , I told myself I’d try a boxing class. I’d scroll past ads for Rumble Boxing , watch people rave about it online, and think, That looks fun… but maybe later. Well, later finally came.
After endless procrastination, I signed up for their free intro class —though, spoiler alert, it’s not technically free because you have to buy hand wraps (a sneaky little detail that annoyed me). But once I got past that, I realized the class itself was absolutely worth it.
Walking into the studio, I felt a mix of nerves and excitement. The instructor’s high-energy vibe quickly eased my anxiety, though. They kept the room pumped up and motivated, and before I knew it, I was throwing punches like I’d been doing it for years. Punching the bag was surprisingly therapeutic —a perfect way to release stress and just let go . But what I loved most was how they incorporated weights and ab exercises into the workout, which is totally my preferred style. It felt like the perfect combo of strength and cardio.
By the end of class, I was drenched in sweat, exhausted, and feeling incredibly accomplished . The workout was intense, but in the best way possible. That said, I decided not to commit to a membership—it’s not something I’d do all the time. But I’m definitely planning to go back whenever I need to shake things up and blow off some steam.
If you’ve ever hesitated to try something new because it felt intimidating, let this be your sign to just go for it . You might surprise yourself—and who knows, you might even find your new favorite way to sweat it out.
